Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting for several small business (including real estate properties), completing reconciliations, and compiling monthly reports. This role offers flexibility and growth opportunities while working from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable : Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • General Ledger Maintenance : Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Account Reconciliation : Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and variance analysis.
  • Audit Support : Assist in preparing year end files for CPA firm review and tax preparation.
  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional team members to support financial decision-making and ensure alignment with company goals.
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Experience related to real estate is a plus but not required.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
