Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, including maintaining customer accounts, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain customer accounts, including reviewing and processing customer invoices and payments, posting customer payments to the general ledger, and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Generate and distribute invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that invoices are properly coded, authorized, and approved.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue customer accounts, including making collection calls and sending collection letters and emails.
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve any invoice disputes and ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions, including maintaining accurate records of customer information, payment history, and credit limits.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts receivable to the general ledger.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
