We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Asset Manager to oversee and optimize the performance of our growing portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use assets.

Position Overview

The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing deChase Miksis’ stabilized portfolio by developing and executing asset strategies, analyzing financial performance, and collaborating with property management teams. Additionally, the role will involve leading the transition from a third-party property manager to an in-house management structure, including creating standards and processes for the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management : Develop and execute asset management strategies to maximize performance and value of stabilized assets.
  • Financial Analysis : Monitor and analyze property financial performance, including rent rolls, operating expenses, and NOI, and recommend adjustments to improve results.
  • Reporting : Prepare detailed quarterly asset performance reports and annual business plans for stakeholders, including investors and leadership.
  • Operational Oversight : Collaborate with property management teams to ensure operational efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and alignment with budgets.
  • Market Research : Conduct market analysis to assess competitive positioning and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Capital Planning : Oversee capital improvement plans and budget approvals for assigned assets.
  • Refinancings : Support refinancing efforts as necessary to optimize debt structures and improve asset value.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with leasing, marketing, and property management teams, as well as investors, brokers, and vendors.
  • Process Development : Lead the creation of standards and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in the management of the portfolio during the transition to in-house management.
  • Predevelopment Feedback : Provide insights during predevelopment on unit design, common areas, and amenities to ensure alignment with market demands and operational efficiency.
  • Market Set Review : Conduct a comprehensive review of the market set during the design phase and recommend optimal unit mix, parking ratios, and amenities to ensure competitiveness in the market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, preferably with multifamily or mixed-use properties.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills with proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
  • Exceptional knowledge of real estate operations, market trends, and leasing strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing organizational processes is a plus.
