IN SUMMARY
The Meat and Seafood Department handles all the ordering, receiving, processing and selling of fresh, frozen and smoked meat, poultry and seafood. This is a customer service position.
OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE!
· Receiving and storing deliveries
· Creating and maintaining attractive displays in meat and seafood cases
· Serving customers
· Cutting, weighing and wrapping product to order
· Advising customers on how to prepare products
· Maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary work environment
· Maintaining product rotation
· Setting up and breaking down station each day
· Maintaining accurate and attractive signage

WHAT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT IS LIKE
It is tight! Not quite being packed in like sardines, but pretty close sometimes. It may be necessary to step outside depending on the task at hand or walk between buildings. Be prepared for all weather conditions. That means from time to time you will need a raincoat, warm outerwear, boots, and an appreciation of Vermont’s beautiful and changing weather!
MAINTAINING A CLEAN & SANITARY WORK ENVIRONMENT
Follow all safety and health protocols | Housekeeping is important | Tidy up your workspace regularly | Wipe down frequently touched surfaces | Pick up items on the floor that could be trip/fall hazards.

Requirements:WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO HAVE
Must be 18 or older
1 – 2 years work experience in an office manager or related position
Strong customer service skills
A desire to become a product expert and advocate
WHAT’S NICE TO HAVE
Experience in retail grocery, but no worries if you don’t. This is a great place to get to know all about it!
