FM has an exciting opportunity for a claims Adjuster position, preferably with a commercial property claims or engineering background to work in the Minneapolis Branch office in Plymouth, MN. The adjuster investigates, resolves, and settles property damage claims within their assigned authority in an equitable manner to the satisfaction of the client and FM in accordance with policy terms and conditions. They provide direction and assistance to the client with loss mitigation, salvage, restoration of production, claims preparation and subrogation. In addition, retains, manages, and controls internal and external consultants, as needed.
Depending on the experience level, the incumbent is assigned losses, including Property Damage and Business Interruption losses, up to $500,000 without a supervisor and as the first adjuster on losses up to $1,000,000 within the FM Minneapolis Branch Claims geographical area, or as otherwise directed by the Operations Claims Manager.
Education
4-year university degree is preferred however equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience
2 or more years of commercial property claims experience or field engineering experience preferred.
Skills and competencies
We are considering Mid and Senior Level candidates for this role. The range is $90,720 - $130,400. These ranges are representative of the hiring salary for the role. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
