Gpac is working with an ag operation in North Central IN that is looking for a Farm Manager. This is a family-owned company looking for someone to manage one of their newly planted potato farms.

They are look Farm Manager who would be responsible for around 2,000 acres and must have knowledge of row crop or vegetable crop operations and equipment operations. This individual must be self-motivated as they will work alone or with a small team most of the year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and coordinate the operations necessary for potato crop production, including but not limited to tillage, maintenance, planting, cultivating, harvest, etc.
• Help manage scheduling of fertilizer applications, irrigation, and chemical applications
• Make sure irrigation systems are running and functioning properly
• Consistently communicate about farm activities, challenges, and management decisions to owner
• Support innovation of farm practices and be open to suggestions for improvement
