Job Title: Inside Sales Manager

Reports To: Vice President of Sales

Status: Salaried Exempt

Onsite – 1851 Albright Road, Montgomery, IL 60538

General Overview

The Inside Sales Manager at Benetech is a critical leadership role responsible for driving sales excellence, operational efficiency, customer service, and team development within the inside sales function. This role, based exclusively onsite at our corporate office in Montgomery, IL, requires a strong presence in the office to effectively lead the team, foster collaboration, and support daily operations. The position oversees the Inside Sales Representatives and Business Development Managers, providing strategic direction, performance management, and tactical support. The manager collaborates closely with the Sales Operations & Compliance Specialist and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of sales strategies and processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Inside Sales team to achieve individual and collective performance goals by providing ongoing coaching and training to enhance product knowledge, customer engagement skills, and sales techniques, while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team culture through regular meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Act as a key point of escalation for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution, while partnering with Operations to provide customers with accurate order status and delivery updates.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies leveraging insights from tools such as the IIR (Industrial Info Resources) database and market trends, while analyzing sales performance data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team and individual success. Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics, discuss challenges, and align on strategies while implementing data-driven adjustments to sales strategies to exceed revenue and profitability goals.
  • Oversee and participate in the sales lifecycle from lead generation to quote follow-ups and order closure.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers and Distributors to support cross-functional sales initiatives and market penetration, while building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders to promote collaboration and drive sales.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the use of Benetech’s ERP and CRM systems, including Salesforce, to manage quotes, track customer interactions, and generate reports.
  • Represent Benetech at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in sales support, inside sales, or outside sales, preferably in an industrial or technical sales environment, with a track record of recognized methods and achievements that contributed to team or organizational success.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to team performance, with leadership experience or the capacity to step into a leadership role.

  • Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Salary Range & Benefits Package

  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
