The Role:
We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead a variety of strategic and tactical initiatives within the Communications and Marketing group at California Association of REALTORS®. The position will report to the Member Communications Director and work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to create new content for members and their clients, and help draft guidance for the company on topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), video creation and social media. This position will bring a level of new creativity and currency to the department’s output in terms of marketing and content creation ideas. You won’t be bored!

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities, have strong attention to detail and be a great communicator.

Compensation Range : $75,000 to $100,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new methods of communicating with members about member benefits, REALTOR® value, Association value, new business practices and more.
  • Execute projects such as scripting for videos, development of targeted communication to key audience segments, expansion of existing campaigns via different platforms, etc.
  • Assist other marcom staff and managers as appropriate with annual projects such as the Impact Report, creating REimagine Conference content and the like.
  • Write and produce content as needed for various communication vehicles, including newsletters and various websites.
  • Research and develop new practices to inform the CMO and Communication staff in a variety of areas, from advertising protocols to social media tactics to cause-related marketing and more.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, public relations, English, sociology or related fields.
  • 2-3 years experience in communication, content creation, or marketing.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to produce Keynote/PowerPoint-style presentations.
  • Well-versed in contemporary media – such as social media, influencers, marketing on various platforms, etc.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to develop engaging, pithy content that captures our brand voice and engages our members across various platforms.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5-6 years experience in communication, content creation, or marketing.

Travel :

  • Business meetings three times per year.
  • Minimal additional travel may be required.
