Job Description:  CNA NEMT Driver (Certified Nursing Assistant Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver)**

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) NEMT Drivers to join our team. As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) driver, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and comfortable transportation services to elderly, disabled, or medically fragile individuals who require assistance getting to and from medical appointments, therapies, or other essential destinations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of passengers during their transportation, while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

1. **Safe Transportation:** Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other designated destinations. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of passengers and others on the road.

2. **Client Assistance:** Provide compassionate and courteous assistance to passengers while boarding and disembarking the vehicle. Offer support and ensure passengers are comfortably seated and secured during transit.

3. **Care Provision:** Utilize your CNA skills to provide basic care and support to clients during transportation, such as assisting with mobility, helping with transfers, and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.

4. **Communication:** Maintain open and respectful communication with clients, their family members, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth coordination of transportation schedules and any specific care needs.

5. **Vehicle Maintenance:** Perform routine inspections of the NEMT vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues promptly and follow appropriate procedures for vehicle maintenance and repairs.

6. **Documentation:** Accurately record and maintain transportation logs, mileage, and other required documentation as per company policies and regulatory guidelines.

7. **Privacy and Confidentiality:** Respect and maintain the confidentiality of client information, medical records, and personal details.

8. **Emergency Preparedness:** Be prepared to handle unexpected situations, including accidents or medical emergencies, by promptly notifying emergency services and following company protocols.

9. **Time Management:** Manage your schedule efficiently to ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs while accommodating any unforeseen delays.

10. **Professional Conduct:** Uphold a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times, maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor towards clients and their families.

**Qualifications:**

1. **Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):** Possess a valid CNA certification from an accredited institution.

2. **Driver's License:** Hold a valid and clean driver's license with a good driving record.

3. **First Aid/CPR Certification:** Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications.

4. **Compassion and Empathy:** Demonstrated ability to show empathy, understanding, and patience when working with elderly, disabled, or medically fragile individuals.

5. **Reliability:** Punctuality and reliability are essential to ensure timely transportation services for clients.

6. **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and team members.

7. **Physical Stamina:** The role may require assisting clients with mobility and transfers, necessitating physical strength and stamina.

8. **Background Check:** Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

**Working Conditions:**

This position primarily involves driving and assisting clients, which may require prolonged periods of sitting, as well as the ability to lift and assist clients with mobility. The job may involve working in various weather conditions and occasional irregular hours to accommodate client schedules.
