SCOPE You are responsible for generating mortgage loans, enhancing relationships & building new referral relationships. The mortgage officer will be responsible for overall credit quality & fee income. Your contributions to the mortgage department help create an AMAZING client experience! ACCOUNTABILITIES Mortgage Loan Generator / New Business Development - 80% *You are responsible for generating quality mortgage loans within the guidelines set by bank policy & growth targets. This will include soliciting new business relationships & deepening relationships with existing clients. *You respond to inquiries from prospective customers regarding all types of mortgage & construction loans as well as provide requested information regarding the organization s lending policies & procedures. *You conduct all steps needed to take a mortgage application, collect necessary documents from the client, submit & receive necessary approvals & provide clear notes to the processing team as per the procedure manual. *You are responsible for partnering with other areas of the bank to help create the best relationships with the client. *You are responsible for inputting data into origination software & underwriting automation. *You work with the processor & servicer to ensure we exceed customer expectations. *You maintain lender social media account in cooperation with the head of Marketing. Compliance - 10% *You comply with federal, state, & local requirements & ensure all documents are compliant & timing requirements are met. *You ensure that all mortgage loan disclosures sent out to the borrower are accurate. *You work closely in helping to correct mortgage loan compliance deficiencies. *You are a resource for bank employees relative to mortgage loans. *You assist in the completion of risk assessment reviews. *You make recommendations to the supervisor regarding improving operations of the department/company. *You stay current on required training.
