Under the general supervision of the Office Services Supervisor I (Typing), functions as the Area's 180 Clerk and receptionist. Responsible for processing all stored vehicles, including impounds, stolen, recoveries. Provides general office clerical support to the Area. The position requires utilizing a computer program to log and track the Validation reports for the Department of Justice and the Vehicle Theft Report. Processes all information contained on the CHP 180's has been accurately entered into the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System and Criminal Justice Information Services and the National Crime Information Center. Process and file all CHP 215, Notice to Appear, and CHP 281, Notice to Correct. Responsible for copying of reports to local courts and filing original reports in file cabinets; maintaining files retained electronically; inputing data into the Statewide Automated Citation System, and Area Information System. Log all criminal and civil court subpoenas, trial by declarations, cancellations, and continuances making proper notifications to employees. Function as the receptionist for the office. Prepare quarterly supply requisition.
