Non-Tenure Track Faculty Appointment: Rank: Assistant Professor of Practice or Assistant Professor Teaching, Research and Service Ratio: (will be adjusted if candidate qualifies for tenure track) * Teaching: 75% * Scholarship: 10% * Service: 15% Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to the following: * Read and abide by all rules and regulations for faculty of North Dakota State University as outlined in the faculty handbook. * Maintain a current active license as a professional nurse in good standing with the North Dakota Board of Nursing and other boards of nursing as appropriate. * Coordinate and teach courses as assigned by the Associate Dean/Chair of the School of Nursing (SON). Using the SON workload formula as a guide, teaching responsibilities will be incorporated into the position based on School needs and the candidate's expertise. * Develop clinical learning activities and rotations for nursing students in contracted inpatient and community settings. * Serve as the chair or committee member on DNP students' clinical dissertation committees. Clinical Practice Site Assignment: Maintain one day a week of clinical practice in health care facilities in Fargo, ND, Moorhead, MN, and possible rural sites arranged through special contacts and arrangements. Screening Date: 11/27/24 and remain open until filled Work Schedule: Full-time, 9-month faculty position Advertised Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Nursing Practice/Nurse Practitioner focus or MS in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner focus with a doctoral degree in related field, or MS in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner focus enrolled in a doctoral program Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in North Dakota Advanced Practice Certification as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree e.g. DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice), PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), or EdD (Doctor of Education) Graduate-level teaching experience Quality improvement, Pathophysiology, and/or population health expertise FNP primary care experience Applicant Materials Required: * Cover letter describing previous relevant experience and accomplishments * Resume/Curriculum Vitae * Statement of Teaching Philosophy * Copy of current RN license NDSU OFFERS EXCELLENT BENEFITS!
