We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Concrete Superintendent with a strong background in wastewater treatment plant construction to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in concrete structures, formwork, and yard piping in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a Concrete Superintendent, you will be an integral part of our construction team, managing all aspects of concrete construction for wastewater treatment plants. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

As a Concrete Superintendent, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all phases of concrete construction for wastewater treatment plants, ensuring that specifications and standards are met.
2. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff.
3. Reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the appropriate construction methods, sequence of operations, and manpower requirements.
4. Ensuring that all concrete structures, formwork, and yard piping are constructed in accordance with design specifications.
5. Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials, tools, and equipment.
6. Implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
7. Conducting regular site inspections, identifying any potential issues or delays, and taking corrective action as necessary.
8. Providing regular progress reports to project managers, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant construction, with a proven track record in managing concrete structures and formwork.
2. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations related to wastewater treatment plant construction.
3. Proficiency in yard piping and the ability to oversee its installation and maintenance.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of construction workers and subcontractors.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
7. A strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to implement and maintain safety protocols on a construction site.
8. Proficiency in using construction management software and technology.
9. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
10. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour safety training, CPR and First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license are highly desirable.
