About the Role
The Company is seeking a Markets Control Assessment Lead - Business Risk and Control Sr. Officer I - SVP to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the adequacy of controls, monitoring, and testing tools within the markets business teams. This strategic and execution-oriented management position is accountable for operational controls performance assessment and assurance, with a focus on managing compliance and operational risks. The role involves leading a team of control testing professionals, engaging with senior managers, and driving continuous improvements in control design assessment testing. The role demands a high level of responsibility, including decision-making on control assessment design activities and interactions with senior managers. The candidate should be adept at breaking down complex issues, providing credible challenges, and developing new ideas to mitigate risk and improve processes. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with at least 5 years' in risk and controls roles, and a strong background in markets products and distribution channels. Applicants for this role at the company should be subject matter experts in control design, execution, and/or control testing, with advanced skills in MS Office. The position requires excellent management, communication, and relationship management skills, as well as the ability to influence and foster collaboration. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker, demonstrate leadership skills, and have the ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions. A university degree is preferred, and experience in human-centered control design is an advantage.
