Sierra Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Pump Technician for a well established and growing Water Well Drilling and Pump company located in the Northern Nevada Area. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, daily communication with customers, and lead challenging projects across Nevada and California.

This position is located in Reno, NV and provides for relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installation and removal: Install and remove submersible and vertical turbine pumps; understand system configuration, assembly sequence, and key features of the pump system. Utilize heavy equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic tools.
• Pump tests: Conduct pump and well performance tests requiring monitoring and evaluation of well discharge metering. Collect and document detailed performance data in handwritten or digital spreadsheets.
• Troubleshooting issues: Troubleshoot basic pump performance issues. Includes understanding pump mechanics, assembly/disassembly of components, electrical controls including use of a multimeter verify electrical supply power. Evaluate and determine next steps for repair or replacement and communicate with supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Licenses and Certifications: Commercial drivers license, class A is required (CDL A). Must possess a driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience and Education: Must have 2+ years of relevant experience in water well pump systems.
• Operational Experience: Must have experience with machinery through work in construction, drilling, electrical, mechanical, or other contract projects.
• Ability to travel and work remotely up to 100% of the time. All work is outdoors and is year-round.
