Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Shift:

This is a part-time, 20 hour a week role. Shift for this position is 12 pm-4PM, M-F.
Job Summary :
The Sterile Processing Technician works under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Sterile Processing Technician is assigned duties performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the surgery center, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process
Job Responsibilites :
Reviews daily surgical caseload to determine anesthesia equipment and supplies required, facilitating anesthesia turnover and providing for adequate and efficient use of supplies for the Surgical Center.
Demonstrates proper cleaning and sterilization of all anesthesia and O.R. equipment and instruments.
Ensures that supplies and equipment are handled and stored properly according to manufacturers' recommendations.
Distributes supplies to operating room, anesthesia workstations, sterile supply rooms, pre-op, and PACU areas.
Orders appropriate par level supplies for the ASC
Perform HLD/S of instruments and endoscopes from the SCC
