Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Engineer to join our team and drive the sales of our liquid filtration products within a designated geographical region. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful sales in the industrial equipment or filtration industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned region, including identifying target markets, industries, and potential clients. Collaborate with the sales team and management to set achievable sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Product Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of D&D Filtration's product portfolio, including filtration systems, cartridges, membranes, and related accessories. Effectively communicate the technical features, benefits, and applications of these products to potential clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, distributors, and partners within the region. Understand their filtration needs and challenges, and offer tailored solutions that align with D&D Filtration's product offerings.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, trade shows, industry events, and networking. Collaborate with the different manufacturers, vendors, and channel partners to develop targeted campaigns that generate leads and expand the client base.
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with clients to assess their filtration requirements, recommend suitable products, and provide technical support throughout the sales cycle. Prepare and deliver engaging presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that showcase the value proposition of D&D Filtration products.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract finalization. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order processing, shipment, and delivery of products to clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the filtration and related industries. Provide regular feedback to the management team to help shape product development and sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer interactions, and activity reports. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful technical sales experience, preferably in the liquid filtration, industrial equipment, or related industries. Direct sales and/or distributor sales in the industrial market is preferred.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to grasp complex technical concepts related to filtration systems, products, and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed (up to 50%).
  • Ability to travel to headquarters in Berlin, CT for monthly or quarterly meetings.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
